The Empty Beach

Hello there, wrote a little something for you...


I was at an empty beach
The air was cool ,way too cool
But where are you
I could feel the sand in my palms
Slipping through my fingers
Like how you are all the time

My eyes were searching in despair
Your face i longed to see
I was shouting your name
Once... Twice... and again...
but you didn't appear

I fell on my knees as they came
The tears that i've held in for so long
Came flowing down my cheeks
So i lay on my back and faced the sky
To hold them back once again

So i close my eyes and try to hide
Those emotions flooding through me
Though i know deep inside
I'll hang on till the last
For now, i'm exhausted

I wish you were here with me
The stars might shine brighter
My smile might be broader
The tears will be different
I miss you
